| A
Devious Monitor of a Visitor to a Page/Site
Some clients have asked if we
can automagically 'capture' netizens' email addresses when they
visit a site (...without them knowing). We don't condone this type
of data collection and try to persuade the client to be more upfront
with requests for information.
With some of the new security features now being
built in to the new browsers, there is no foolproof, automagic way
of doing this invisibly and consistently. Coupled with rising concern
over privacy and new W3C (world wide web consortium) P3P privacy
policies and web specifications - you need to question how much
is gained.
That having been said, the button at the left should
have been automagically activated when you entered this page and
we may now have your email address. It is as transparent as we've
been able to test thus far. |
