One of the downsides of direct mail is the cost per home to deliver it. Great Deals Magazine helps to mitigate that cost by offering co-op direct mail where all the advertisers share in the overall cost of the production and delivery. That said, Great Deals delivers to over 340,000 homes in Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo and Battle Creek and that translates into a substantial postage bill.

So when the post office started offering incentives to utilize QR tags (those funny square barcodes) that drove the recipient to a mobile friendly website, Great Deals decided it was time revamp their site.

Working with the owner, the Imagination Factory re-designed the older static site into a more search and mobile friendly CMS (content managed) site. Each of the USPS promotion rules are quite specific, so we also needed to create a site structure and several QR tags to perform everything from a simple click to call to more involved mobile ecommerce functions.

Sadly, Minor League Baseball Properties has been been flexing its collective muscle and forcing a general homogenization of the web landscape for these uniquely local forms of americana. Fortunately, one area they haven’t been able to take over is the online suite catering ordering menu.

And that’s where the Imagination Factory comes in to bat. We have developed a fairly simple online menu system that accommodates each clubs unique offerings, calculates prices real-time as the fans select items, accounts for their unique tax structures and collects / emails the pertinent order information to the club’s catering team.

So they came to the Imagination Factory to see if we could take their map and clarify the locations and phases of the intended road closures.

We could…. and provided DTE with a PDF handout, a scaleable version capable of being enlarged to poster size as well as a multi-screen electronic slideshow suitable for a large-screen presentation. Although not requested, our final layouts included enough visual support for anyone in the audience that might suffer color blindness (8-10% males, <1% female).

(MTI), was looking for a way to separate themselves from pack of traditional ad specialties firms out there. After some research, they selected the Imagination Factory as best to help them do that.

Not wanting to lose sight of the vast array of promotional items available through them, they did want to focus on an audience seeking expertise in award and incentive programs as well as branded promotions, executive gifts, awards and product launch campaigns.

So the concept of using a executive’s desk motif was chosen to visually reinforce the idea that MTI services are available to assist the busy executive, marketing directors and business owners in developing and fulfilling their programs.

That’s why he came back to us to revamp his several year old site. Back then his business site had been able to handle both aspects of his operations, lawn care and pest control. Today, he’s providing enough information for each that we decided to split it into two separate sites. In response to customer trends, it also made sense to make both sites more mobile-friendly and enhance its search visibility for topics his customers are searching.

So if you need greener grass, healthier trees and bushes or just want to get rid of a few varmits, Tuff Turf Molebusters, is step #1 and #2.
